As the newest addition to the village of Camden, 8 Bells is a traditional Irish pub, bustling every night. We are looking for staff to be part of the pub team. We are open seven days a week from 2pm to 10pm. With a small kitchen that prepares already cooked food from our suppliers and a fully stocked bar, our team is close-knit and highly active. All positions are year-round.

Currently we are seeking to fill the following part-time position:

KITCHEN ASSISTANT/FLOOR SERVER: This is a hybrid position that works in all areas of the pub. You’ll work behind the scenes and in front of house to prep food for the evening (food is cooked offsite), fulfill orders and serve customers, take inventory of food items, support the bartenders, and keep a clean and organized workspace. Hours are 4:30pm to 10pm, three days/week. Pay is competitive.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• Previous experience is an asset but not mandatory.

• Basic understanding of food/drink safety and sanitation practices. ·

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.

• Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout a shift.

• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed.

• Self-starter to see what needs doing and take action.

Requirements:

• Punctual and reliable.

• Ability to multi-task and remain focused and calm in an extremely busy environment

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move heavy items safely.

• Comfortable working in a hot, humid, and fast-paced environment.
